INDIAN HIMALAYAN CENTER FOR ADVENTURE & ECO TOURISM
Indian Himalayan Centre for Adventure & Ecotourism (IHCAE) located on a hill top of Chemchey Village, District Namchi at the altitude of 6582 ft. covering the area of 21.2 acre. It is well connected by road from the state capital Gangtok which is 71 km and the south district head quarter Namchi which is 16.3 km. The institute is the first of its kind in the entire North East region. IHCAE provides high standard eco-tourism and adventure related trainingcourses while emphasing on instilling the concept of adventure tourism without causing any environmental degradation.
The institute was formally inaugurated by Smt. Kumari Selja Honorable union minister for tourism / GOI on 7/12/09 in the presence of HCM Sikkim.
